Unverkennbar ist das Backhaus, das schon in einer Chronik von 1797 Erwähnung fand, der Mittelpunkt des schmucken Ortes. Jede Feier steht in Bezug zum Backhaus, sei es der Nachbarschaft wegen – wie beim Pfingstbaum oder weil hier noch immer gut gebacken werden kann und die Brote und Schmierkuchen aus dem direkt befeuerten Ofen eben doch am besten schmecken. Dass die Sichertshäuser ihr Backhaus lieben, erkennt man auch unschwer an der immer frischen Farbe des Wandbildes und der gepflegten Blumen an Backhaus und zugehörigem Brunnen.
The bakehouse, which was already mentioned in a chronicle from 1797, is unmistakably the centre of the pretty village. Every celebration is related to the bakehouse, be it because of the neighbourhood - as with the Whitsun tree - or because it is still a good place to bake and the breads and cakes from the directly fired oven taste the best. The fact that the people of Sichertshausen love their bakehouse is also easy to see from the always fresh colour of the mural and the well-tended flowers around the bakehouse and its fountain.
