The Kunstverein in two arches of the Honsellbrücke bridge at Hafenpark is considered one of the hippest cultural addresses in the city. In addition to art, there is also a casual café here At the harbour park, at the foot of the ECB's Skytower, art has literally moved under the bridge: In two arches of the Honsellbrücke bridge, the "Familie Montez" art association presents unusual exhibitions of contemporary art. Unusual, because founder and art association director Mirek Macke sometimes calls for artworks to be submitted via social media - and then lets the artists curate their shows themselves. "Art is for the people," he says about his open exhibition concept. And for him, this also means that he has placed a café counter in the exhibition space, along with some plush armchairs and leather sofas. He says: "Our door is open to everyone. We have cheap coffee, delicious cakes - and for the skaters in the harbour park, a plaster for a bruised knee".

Zur Kunst gibt’s hier auch ein lässiges Café.   Am Hafenpark, zu Füßen des Skytowers der EZB, ist die Kunst im wahrsten Wortsinn unter die Brücke gezogen: In zwei Bögen der Honsellbrücke zeigt der Kunstverein „Familie Montez“ ungewöhnliche Ausstellungen der Gegenwartskunst. Ungewöhnlich, weil Gründer und Kunstvereinsdirektor Mirek Macke auch mal per Social Media dazu aufruft, Kunstwerke einzureichen – und dann die Künstlerinnen und Künstler ihre Schauen selbst kuratieren lässt. „Kunst ist für die Menschen da“, sagt er zu seinem offenen Ausstellungskonzept. Und dazu zählt für ihn auch, dass er im Ausstellungsraum eine Café-Theke platziert hat und dazu einige plüschige Sessel und Ledersofas. Er sagt: „Unsere Tür steht für jeden offen. Wir haben günstigen Kaffee, leckeren Kuchen – und für die Skater im Hafenpark auch mal ein Pflaster fürs aufgeschlagene Knie“.
