Für einen Tag am See ist das Strandbad Rodgau ein sehr gutes Ziel. Hessens „Saint Tropez am Baggersee“, wie sich das Bad mit Sinn für Humor selbst nennt, bietet nicht nur viel Platz – der See misst über 26 Hektar –, sondern auch eine perfekte Infrastruktur. Egal ob auf dem Beachvolleyballfeld, an Fitnessgeräten oder auf dem Leih-SUP-Board: Wer sich auspowern möchte, findet viele Angebote. Wer’s lieber entspannt und schattig mag, mietet Sonnenschirm und Liegestuhl und genießt ein gutes Buch.
Schon seit den 1970ern wird dort gebadet, damals schätzten vor allem FKK-Fans die noch „wilde“ Badestelle. Heute gibt es verschiedene Bereiche für Textil und FKK, Rettungsschwimmerinnen und Rettungsschwimmer haben alles im Blick und am Eingang können kostenlose Schwimmbojen ausgeliehen werden.
Bekannt ist das Strandbad außerdem für sein gut gemachtes Programm. Mittwochs ab 18 Uhr spielen Live-Bands zur After Work Musik, samstagvormittags gibt’s Yoga auf der Wiese und beim Strandbad-Festival wird das Seeufer gleich tagelang zum Dancefloor.

The Rodgau lido is a great destination for a day at the lake. Hesse's "Saint Tropez on the quarry pond", as the baths with a sense of humor call themselves, not only offers plenty of space - the lake measures over 26 hectares - but also a perfect infrastructure. Whether on the beach volleyball court, on the fitness equipment or on the rental SUP board, there is plenty on offer for those who want to work out. Those who prefer to relax in the shade can hire a parasol and deckchair and enjoy a good book.
People have been swimming there since the 1970s, when naturists in particular appreciated the still "wild" bathing area. Today, there are different areas for textiles and nudism, lifeguards keep an eye on everything and free buoys can be borrowed at the entrance.
The lido is also known for its well-designed program. Live bands play after-work music on Wednesdays from 6 p.m., there's yoga on the lawn on Saturday mornings and the lakeside becomes a dance floor for days on end at the lido festival.
