According to a Frankfurt jazz magazine, Germany's supposedly smallest jazz club is also "the coolest jazz club in Europe": Nowhere else do musicians and audiences come as close as here, on the stage measuring just five square meters. The program ranges from jazz standards to blues or Latin jazz; a small entrance fee is charged for the live concerts. You also get small dishes and a decent selection of drinks. What also makes the club special: In addition to the music, you can also experience a little journey through time here: Old Mao or anti-nuclear posters on the walls are reminiscent of the founding days of the jazz club in the early 1980s and a corner is reserved for program flyers from 2020 - for concerts that could never take place due to corona. Private donations helped keep the Mampf alive back then; only "the hottest jazz club in Europe" has such a stable fan base.

Deutschlands angeblich kleinster Jazzclub ist auch deswegen einem Frankfurter Jazzmagazin zufolge zugleich „der geilste Jazzclub in Europa“: Nirgendwo kämen sich Musiker*innen und Publikum so nahe wie hier, auf der gerade einmal fünf Quadratmeter großen Bühne. Das Programm reicht von Jazz-Standards bis Blues- oder Latin-Jazz; für die Live-Konzerte muss ein kleiner Eintrittspreis gezahlt werden. Dazu bekommst du hier kleine Speisen und eine anständige Getränke-Auswahl. Was den Club außerdem besonders macht: Neben der Musik erlebst du hier en passant eine kleine Zeitreise: Alte Mao- oder Anti-AKW-Plakate an den Wänden erinnern an die Gründungszeit des Jazzclubs Anfang der 1980er und eine Ecke ist für Programm-Flyer aus dem Jahr 2020 reserviert – zu Konzerten, die wegen Corona nie stattfinden konnten. Private Spenden haben das Mampf damals mit am Leben gehalten; eine derart stabile Fan-Basis hat wohl nur „der geilste Jazzclub in Europe“.
