Berlin has Berghain, but Offenbach has Robert Johnson. The club in the Kaiserlei neighbourhood is one of the best in the world. Top-tier DJs don’t need much convincing to play here, even though the venue itself is rather small and deliberately minimalist. The club was founded in 1999 by Ata Macias, better known as DJ Ata, who remains responsible for the concept and booking to this day. What sets RJ apart from larger clubs, however, is not just the lineup, but also its location. Here, you dance right on the waterfront; from the terrace, you have an unobstructed view of the Main River.

Hochkarätige DJs lassen sich nicht lange bitten, hier aufzulegen, dabei ist die Location selbst eher klein und bewusst minimalistisch gehalten. Gegründet wurde der Club 1999 von Ata Macias, besser bekannt als DJ Ata, der bis heute hinter Konzept und Booking steht.
