Der einfache Rundweg führt zunächst schnurstracks durch den Wald. Am Ende des Waldes angekommen, bietet sich dem Wanderer ein fantastischer Weitblick bis zum Reinhardswald. Am Waldrand geht es weiter bis der Weg wieder in den Wald eintaucht, um den Basaltkegel „Firnskuppe“ zu umrunden.
