As part of the International Weeks Against Racism 2026, the audiovisual exhibition “PUSHBACK” will be presented at KFZ Marburg from July 1 to July 5. Recordings and objects from the Bosnian-Croatian border make it tangible what lies behind the word of the year 2021: the unlawful, often brutal pushing back of asylum seekers by masked and armed border officials – without examination of the reasons for flight, without the possibility of applying for asylum. The exhibition deliberately counteracts the debate on figures, measures, and payment cards with the perspective of those affected and asks: What does this border look like? What does it sound like? Im Rahmen der Internationalen Wochen gegen Rassismus 2026 wird vom 1. bis 5. Juli die audiovisuelle Ausstellung „PUSHBACK” im KFZ Marburg gezeigt. Aufnahmen und Gegenstände von der bosnisch-kroatischen Grenze machen erfahrbar, was hinter dem Unwort des Jahres 2021 steckt: das völkerrechtswidrige, oft brutale Zurückdrängen Schutzsuchender durch maskierte und bewaffnete Grenzbeamt*innen – ohne Prüfung der Fluchtgründe, ohne Möglichkeit eines Asylantrags.
