About 900 female common pipistrelles are back in the maternity roost to give birth to their young at the beginning of June.
With infrared cameras, we look into the maternity roost, learn a lot about bats during lectures, and answer questions about these useful animals. The highlight is the outing of the pipistrelles for their nighttime insect hunt. During this, the bats often fly right over the heads of the visitors. Participation in the event is free and does not require registration. The content is presented in a way that is interesting for both adults and children. Ca. 900 Mausohr-Weibchen sind zurück in der Wochenstube, um hier Anfang Juni ihr Junges zur Welt zu bringen.
Mit Infrarotkameras blicken wir in die Wochenstube, erfahren bei Vorträgen einiges über Fledermäuse, beantworten Fragen zu diesen nützlichen Tieren. Höhepunkt ist der Ausflug der Mausohren zur nächtlichen Insektenjagd. Dabei fliegen die Fledermäuse oft dicht über die Köpfe der Besucher hinweg. Die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung ist kostenlos und ohne Anmeldung möglich. Die Inhalte werden so vermittelt, dass sie für Erwachsene und Kindern interessant sind.
