Die moderne und interaktive Stele bietet Besucherinnen und Besuchern rund um die Uhr umfassende Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten, historischen Stätten, kulturellen Veranstaltungen, Gastronomie, Unterkünften und vielem mehr in der Stadt. Die Errichtung dieser Informationsstele ist Teil eines umfassenden Projekts zur Steigerung der Attraktivität Dillenburgs als touristisches Ziel. Sie ermöglicht es Gästen, sich flexibel und unabhängig über die Stadt zu informieren – insbesondere außerhalb der regulären Öffnungszeiten der Tourist-Information. Durch moderne Technologien wie Touchscreens, QR-Codes und digitale Karten wird die Stele zu einem zentralen Anlaufpunkt für Touristinnen und Touristen sowie Interessierte. Das Projekt wurde im Rahmen der LEADER-Förderperiode 2023 – 2027 der lokalen Aktionsgruppe Region Lahn-Dill-Bergland realisiert. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Naturpark Lahn-Dill-Bergland konnte diese Idee umgesetzt werden. Die Förderung unterstützt nachhaltige Maßnahmen zur Entwicklung des ländlichen Raums und macht die kulturellen und historischen Besonderheiten der Region erlebbar. Dieses Projekt dient als Best-Practice-Beispiel für andere Gemeinden, insbesondere für jene, die keine eigene Tourist-Information betreiben. Die Informationsstele zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie moderne Technologie genutzt werden kann, um Besuchenden einen Mehrwert zu bieten und den Tourismus in der Region zu stärken. Die Oranienstadt Dillenburg freut sich, dieses zukunftsweisende Angebot der Öffentlichkeit nun anzubieten zu können.
The modern and interactive stele offers visitors comprehensive information on sights, historical sites, cultural events, gastronomy, accommodations, and much more in the city around the clock. The construction of this information stele is part of a comprehensive project aimed at increasing the attractiveness of Dillenburg as a tourist destination. It allows guests to inform themselves flexibly and independently about the city – especially outside the regular opening hours of the tourist information center. Through modern technologies such as touchscreens, QR codes, and digital maps, the stele becomes a central point of contact for tourists and interested individuals. The project was implemented within the framework of the LEADER funding period 2023 – 2027 of the local action group Region Lahn-Dill-Bergland. In close cooperation with the Naturpark Lahn-Dill-Bergland, this idea was realized. The funding supports sustainable measures for rural development and makes the cultural and historical peculiarities of the region tangible. This project serves as a best practice example for other municipalities, especially for those that do not operate their own tourist information centers. The information stele impressively demonstrates how modern technology can be used to provide added value to visitors and strengthen tourism in the region.
