Modellbau-Park 1:8 – Große Technik im kleinen Maßstab Ein Erlebnis für die ganze Familie! Im Jahr 1997 fanden sich engagierte Modellbaufans zusammen, um ihre Leidenschaft im Funktionsmodellbau gemeinsam auszuleben. Nach intensiven Verhandlungen stellte die Stadt Weilburg im Jahr 2002 ein geeignetes Gelände zur Verfügung – der Grundstein für den heutigen Modellbau-Park 1:8 war gelegt. Seit Mai 2003 ist der Park für Besucher geöffnet – und begeistert seitdem Kinder und Erwachsene gleichermaßen. Auf über 2.500 m² hat das Weilburger Funktionsmodellbau-Team eine lebendige Miniaturwelt im Maßstab 1:8 geschaffen, die stetig wächst und sich verändert. Steigen Sie ein in die Diesellok am Bahnhof und erleben Sie eine Rundfahrt durch den Park: Vorbei an Bahnübergängen, Seen, einer Altstadtpassage, Kirche, Polizei- und Feuerwehrstation, Tankstelle und durch einen Tunnel – und wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Live dabei: Verfolgen Sie hautnah, wie mit Miniatur-Baumaschinen Erde abgetragen oder neue Straßen gebaut werden. Die gesamte Anlage wird laufend erweitert – es gibt bei jedem Besuch etwas Neues zu entdecken. Alle Gebäude und Fahrzeuge wurden mit Originalgenehmigungen und Bauplänen der Hersteller originalgetreu und mit viel Liebe zum Detail im Maßstab 1:8 gebaut. Die Fahrzeuge sind voll funktionsfähig und werden durch Batterien angetrieben – ein echtes Highlight für Technikliebhaber! Führungen in kleinen Gruppen bieten Ihnen die Möglichkeit, spannende Einblicke in Technik, Bauweise und Hintergründe des Modellbau-Parks zu erhalten. Gastfahrer willkommen: Wer sein eigenes Funktionsmodell mitbringen möchte, kann nach Voranmeldung am Parcours teilnehmen.
MODEL BUILDING PARK 1:8 – BIG TECHNOLOGY IN A SMALL SCALE An experience for the whole family! In the year 1997, dedicated model building fans came together to share their passion for functional model building. After intensive negotiations, the City of Weilburg provided a suitable site in 2002 – the foundation for today's Model Building Park 1:8 was laid. Since May 2003, the park has been open to visitors – and has since delighted both children and adults alike. A SMALL WORLD TO MARVEL AT On over 2,500 m², the Weilburg Functional Model Building Team has created a vibrant miniature world in a scale of 1:8 that continually grows and changes. Hop on the diesel locomotive at the station and enjoy a tour through the park: Past level crossings, lakes, an old town passage, a church, police and fire stations, a gas station, and through a tunnel – and back to the starting point. Be part of it: Witness firsthand how mini construction machines move earth or build new roads. The entire facility is continually expanding – there’s something new to discover at every visit! TECHNOLOGY TO TOUCH All buildings and vehicles have been authentically constructed to original approvals and construction plans from the manufacturers with great attention to detail in a scale of 1:8. The vehicles are fully functional and powered by batteries – a real highlight for technology enthusiasts! Guided tours in small groups offer you the opportunity to gain exciting insights into the technology, construction methods, and backgrounds of the model building park.
