Am 1. Juni dieses Jahres jährt sich der Geburtstag von Norma Jeane Baker, so der Taufname, der späteren Marilyn Monroe zum hundertsten Mal. Das Kasseler Projekt-Ensemble mit dem Namen „Marilyn Monroe Quintett“ widmet sich dieser einzigartigen Künstlerin. Das Quintett wird durch bekannte Lieder aus Marilyn’s Filmen an diese unter bis heute ungeklärten Umständen im Alter von nur sechsunddreißig Jahren zu Tode gekommenen Schauspielerin und Sängerin erinnern. On June 1 of this year, the birthday of Norma Jeane Baker, the baptismal name of the later Marilyn Monroe, will be commemorated for the hundredth time. The Kassel project ensemble named "Marilyn Monroe Quintet" dedicates itself to this unique artist.
